Mobile Tech Industry

Was contacted by an engineer who had modified the circuitry of a mobile (and iPad) SIM card so it would be able to access the satellite phone network. He demonstrated that product would have full service in remote areas of the world. His thought was to offer the product to NGOs working in remote locations, and to consumers offering very competitive cost for unlimited calls, text and data. We helped the engineer to access commercial property industry uses and to raise money to fund production operations.

Banking Industry

Worked with an international commercial bank who was attempting to re-establish its property lending business in the U.S. The bank has been in the property lending business, but exited it after experiencing some troubling loans in its portfolio. The bank wanted to resurrect the property lending business. After preparing a risk tolerance analysis through interviews with senior management, we outlined a strategic plan addressing targeted geographies and property types, and the structure of the bank’s internal staffing needs and qualifications.

Fitness Tech Industry

Worked with a serial entrepreneur who devised a far more elaborate consumer wearable health product and related software than current products available on the market. The product would have eliminated the simplistic and inaccurate activity trackers products currently available. The product was so accurate that it was competitive with hospital-based medical devices. Advised client with market entry and penetration strategies, marketing approaches and staffing issues. Additionally, advised company on raising about USD5 million to fund production operations and patent application.
